For Gaza, Palestine, and The Holy Land
All the earth is holy but some places are more holy than others.
The Holy Land is one of the holiest places on earth;
The cradle of Abrahamic monotheism and its offspring.
But where the Light shines brightest darkness comes in to destroy it.
All times are holy but some times are more holy than others.
Holy times move in cycles just like the constellations of stars
Revolving to their own patterns.
But when Holy times rise, darkness comes in to destroy them.
All people are holy but some are holier than others.
The Jews were decreed to be the Chosen people.
Out of Judaism was born Christianity and Islam.
But when a holy race rises darkness comes in to destroy it both from without and within.
Darkness is on the march seeking to destroy the Palestinian people, the Holy Land, and the Light.
Some of the people have succumbed to the darkness and are destroying all that is holy and all that is light in their own selves as much as the destruction they deliver to others.
Darkness outside reflects inner darkness.
Until the darkness is conquered within it will be delivered outside as if it belongs to another people or place.
Christ told Mechthild of Magdeburg 800 years ago, when her mystical books were threatened with being burned, ‘You cannot burn the truth.’
No matter how horrendous the destruction one people delivers onto another,
Their inner truth, beauty, holiness, and light cannot be destroyed.
Darkness cannot win out against the Light.
It can only win out against humans too scared to stand up to it.
Truth burns ever brighter out of the flames seeking to destroy it.
‘You cannot burn the truth.’
Truth cannot be destroyed.
Even if the whole world burns,
Truth lives where it always lives,
In eternity.
May our Light shine ever brighter to destroy the darkness that seeks to destroy it.
Image: Yin and Yang. Chinese symbol for balance between the opposites. There is a mark of darkness in the light and mark of light in the darkness. It’s important that we each remember this.
