It’s Time for the Feminine Christ to Rise
This is the time for the feminine Christ to rise. Jesus of Palestine, as an iconoclast, definitively modelled and taught an experience of being in relationship with the divine as a mother and a father, as masculine and feminine. Unfortunately, the Christian Church as it evolved with the Roman Empire only ran with the masculine Christ and, to all of our detriment, left the feminine Christ out of the picture.
Behind Christianity and all the other male religions lies a patriarchy that is itself inherently out of balance. Patriarchy expresses imbalance by exclusively privileging the masculine way. The offspring of something imbalanced is also going to be imbalanced. Culture, society and the religions created out of patriarchal imbalance are themselves obviously going to express that imbalance.
The restoration of the feminine beside the masculine is what is needed. The feminine Christ is obviously essential for balance, for flourishing, for well-being, and to produce balanced offspring. This is the time for the feminine Christ to rise. And even though I'm hesitant to say it, I feel that I do embody the feminine Christ. Yet, it shouldn’t be a surprise to any of us to feel that we embody the feminine Christ because the feminine Christ is trying to express herself through all of us, through all women, and through the feminine in all men. We cannot any longer let the internalised historic imbalance and internalised inferiority cause us to resist the call of the Feminine Christ that seeks balance.
Instead, can we become open enough to hear, feel, sense, see, and recognise that this sacred feminine energy is seeking to flow through all of us to restore balance, where balance was lost under the patriarchy.
In the Christ lineage the divine feminine is expressed as the Feminine Christ. The Feminine Christ is also Sophia who is Wisdom, and wisdom rises in the womb. The masculine wisdom, which is love rises in the heart, and the heart and the womb are connected to each other. The heart rises out of the womb, and the womb is the container which holds the heart.
For there to be balance, the masculine and the feminine energies, qualities, essences, need to be in co-creative relationship with each other. This is the work of our time — to restore the balance and to open a pathway for the Feminine Christ to flow through each of us.
My contribution is to offer myself as a riverbed through which the Feminine Christ can flow as the water of life. This allows me to bring my gifts and my medicine to my personal healing and also as my contribution for restoring and rehabilitating the feminine, the female voice, the women mystics, the sacred feminine alongside the masculine. Restoring balance between the feminine and the masculine is essential to restore balance across the whole of life and nature. Redressing the imbalance that the patriarchy gave us is the work of our time. We must move on from the patriarchy that has warped our feminine consciousness for too long.
