“Her heart pulsates continuously with the heartbeats of my love.”
Week 46 of the Calendar Year
To honour the feast of Gertrude of Helfta, 19th November.
Speaking of Gertrude, Christ said,
”I am entirely hers, and I give myself with delight to her loving embraces. The love of my divinity unites her inseparably with me, as the heat of the fire unites gold and silver to make an alloy.” […] “Her heart pulsates continuously with the heartbeats of my love, and in this I take ineffable delight. But the full force of my heartbeats I am keeping within myself until the hour of her death; at that moment she will feel from them three great effects: the first will be the glory to which the Father will call her; the second, the joy with which I shall receive her; the third, the love in which the Holy Spirit will unite us.”’
