‘I am Love that loves in you.’

Week 42 of the Calendar Year

From my journal

Feast of St. James 2025

On waking, I heard this litany flow through my mind.

I am Life that lives in you
I am Love that loves in you
I am Breath that breathes in you.

I am Fire that burns in you
I am Earth that is your body
I am Words that speak in you.

I am Beauty that shines in you
I am Joy that is joyous in you
I am Peace that calms your soul.

I am Balance that brings equanimity
I am what quells conflict in you
I am the Light that shines in you.

My prayer in response was:

That I may be reborn in Love.
That I may be reborn in Spirit.
And being reborn, that I may live as love, as Spirit, as True Life.
Even though I am human, I am divine.
The spark of divinity placed in my heart when Christ first called me into human form has caught fire, set my body ablaze, and in that fire of transformation I am transformed.

No longer I, but fire,
No longer I, but love
No longer I, but peace
No longer I, but joy.

No longer resisting, but accepting
No longer in turmoil, but in equanimity
No longer two, but one
No longer I, but Christ.

A divine fire transfigures everything it touches. When I burn in the fire of love I become love. All that is not love is burned to nothing; and all that is already love is purified, strengthened and turned to gold. In the refiner’s fire my soul blazes into her divinity. She dances in the noonday light of love. Her heart sings and speaks. The song is love, the words are love, and everything they touch is in turn transfigured. This is the eternal cycle of life – an endless transformation in love.
