Inspiration for Anyone Struggling with Their Spiritual Identity

Light on Fire is a deeply personal and moving memoir of Aedamar’s own spiritual awakening.  Her beautifully descriptive words allow us to share in her transformative experiences while at the same time she courageously details her doubts, vulnerabilities and questions as these experiences unfolded.  Her story serves as inspiration for anyone who may be struggling with their own spiritual identity.  

Aedamar shares research on historical events and philosophical ideas that have shaped human belief systems over two and half millennia, particularly within Christianity.  She succinctly presents how in the West we have shifted from a focus on spirituality and mysticism to one of reason and logic with the resultant loss of our connection to the Sacred and the sacredness of our lives.  

Of most impact is her Path of Gold:  A Guide to Awakening.  In one chapter she manages to layout the path to awakening in such a meaningful and detailed manner, that I know I will be re-reading this chapter for years to come. 

This book is beautifully written and relatable, regardless of where you are on your own spiritual path.  I know that I will be referencing it many times in the future for inspiration and guidance and that I will definitely be passing it along to others.
